When Wix or Squarespace makes sense
If you're just starting out, have a very small budget and are happy to build it yourself, Wix and Squarespace are good options. They're quick to set up and hosting is included.
When WordPress makes sense
If your website needs to bring in enquiries, rank well locally and grow with your business, WordPress is usually the better choice. You own it outright, you're not tied to one company's pricing, and there's almost no limit to what it can do.
The trade-off is that WordPress needs looking after - updates, backups and security. That's why we pair every WordPress site with a care plan option, so it's handled for you.
Our recommendation
For most established small businesses, a lightweight, professionally built WordPress website gives the best balance of control, SEO and long-term value.
